Huawei VS Xiaomi

Huawei and Xiaomi are Chinese brands that became two of the three largest manufacturers in the world, second only to Samsung. They do this thanks to their competitive prices and the fact that in many cases, the benefits are similar, or even superior, to the mobile phones of the most expensive brands on the market, such as iPhone.
To know which brand sells the best terminals, you have to compare model by model, not all in general. Something that differentiates both brands is that Huawei manufactures its own processors (Kirin), unlike Xiaomi, which uses those from other manufacturers (Mediatek for low-end and Qualcomm's Snapdragon for mid-range and high-end). It should also be noted that the two develop a similar strategy to name the devices, something that can confuse users. Huawei uses the same name with the 'surname' Lite to refer to the lower-end models, and Pro for the high-end models; While Xiaomi adds Pro to highlight that it belongs to a mid-range or Mi if it belongs to the high-end.
Xiaomi and Huawei present some very good mobiles and affordable prices. However, if you are looking for quality-price it is better that you go to Xiaomi and if, on the contrary, you want a high-end model, we recommend Huawei. Likewise, Huawei usually has better finishes and pays more attention to detail and stability. Although Xiaomi is increasingly improving its models and this could change in the future.

I would steer clear of both, ideally. There is definitely a trust issue in these cases. If you want to save money, buy a second-hand phone that's in good condition and you can expect to save about 40% or so of the original cost.

Xiaomi gives you the ability to unlock the bootloader, while Huawei doesn't. This is enough for me to never buy a huawei, since I use custom firmware
